Facts & Questions
What is the process for making an appointment and starting therapy?
First, use the Scheduling page to schedule a free 15-min consultation call, during which you and the counselor will briefly discuss the issues you’d like to address in therapy, your mental health history, the counselor’s clinical experience and therapeutic style, session scheduling, and any questions or concerns you might have.
If you and the counselor determine that she is a good fit for you, you will then schedule your 1-hr intake appointment, during which the counselor will gather more information about you and develop a treatment plan. You can also take some time for consideration and reach out later to schedule your intake.
At the end of your intake appointment, you will schedule your regular therapy appointments, during which you and your counselor will begin working toward your therapeutic goals.
Do you offer in-person therapy?
In-person therapy is not offered at this time. All appointments are telehealth, meaning they are held via video call on an encrypted telehealth platform.

Do you offer somatic therapy?
While some somatic techniques are utilized, somatic therapy is not offered as a primary modality, with the exception of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). EMDR is offered to standing/long-term clients and as a stand-alone adjunctive therapy service to clients who already have a primary therapist.
Do you offer EMDR intensives?
EMDR is offered for both standing/long-term clients and as a stand-alone adjunctive therapy for clients who already have a primary therapist. However, intensives are not currently available. This means that several 60-90min sessions (typically 1 session per week for 1-6mo, or potentially longer for clients with more complex trauma histories) are required to complete the EMDR process; as opposed to a small number of day-long sessions.
